About Us
Websites should be enjoyable to use
A great website is a pleasure to experience. It invites you in and makes you feel welcome. It is thoughtfully arranged to make your visit effortless, or even fun. The design is tasteful and classy, and is well-matched to the content of the site. It does its job, and it does it well.
I pay close attention to my experience of the web, both from a client's and visitor's perspective, and am dedicated to providing a seamless experience to my viewers. At no point should a visitor to your site be confused as to where they are or what to do next. Information should be organized and accessible, and everything should work properly. The internet is a very interactive medium, and flashy design can never compensate for usability problems. Successful websites must be both beautiful and usable.
Beautiful products and services deserve beautiful websites
My client's creations and adventures are my inspiration. I feed off of their intuition to form a concept that fits them as a person and for what they want to get out on the web. I can walk down a street and see a stop light system about two-hundred feet ahead, I can instantly think of a layout for a site that has to do with that object. With this said, my inspiration is forever growing, and my motivation to give my clients' what they want is a result of that inspiration to succeed. I perfect my abilities to ensure that they will be proficient for my clients' in any way. You are my work as well as my showcase.
Simple elegance is a compliment to intelligent design
My visual bias is toward refined simplicity. When I design a site I look for what is essential and strive to eliminate anything that distracts from the core message. The result is fast-loading websites that are focused and have strong impact. The world of marketing is already full of clutter. I create a simple elegance that delivers fast concept.
Company Information
I have been creating websites professionally since 2001. I started Tony Bob Design in Portland, a success that keeps on growing.
Education
From design to programming, I am entirely self-taught. I believe in doing what works best for the most number of people. I learned by creating real websites for real people, and that informs my style and my goals. I am attending an Institute which directly relates to my career, it will be a good reference point in terms of creditability.
Business Philosophy
As a freelancer, my role is often one of being a student and an inventor. I make sure that my clients understand what they are buying, and that Im the best person to provide it. I believe it is my responsibility to help my clients get the best solution for their needs--even if that sometimes means referring them to someone more suited to their project or recommending a less expensive solution than they had originally planned for.
