You’re surfing the net, looking at endless web pages that don’t seem to quite grasp what you want. Let say you are looking for a place to either show off your artistic abilities or get some local inspiration from your favorite artists. Maybe you just wish to contact someone that shares your same artistic hobbies. DeviantART is the place to go. It is a heavily used massive online database where you can share your work, contact anyone associated with the site, or gain some local feedback from a few million viewers. DeviantART is a site that offers full access to the graphics world through digital technology.

In most cases of today’s viewers, the appeal of design is what attracts the user. For some who appreciate the functionality of a site, the backend is what stands out. The overall design of DeviantART is fairly simple and easy to grasp design that conveys many concepts within professionally pinpointed focal points. DeviantART is a total package shipped to your doorstep with constant feedback from the “GFX” community.

The accuracy of this site is intensive. I have confidence to say that it’s almost guaranteed that you will never see a page with a dead link or error besides any posted by users. My evidence to this claim is because of the fact that I have actively been using this site for over a year. Its authority enforced by the webmasters gives off a keen sense of obedience to do only what is allowed. Membership and access to the site can be prohibited if the set rules are infringed. DeviantART conveys only one message to the common user in reference to my viewpoint. To give the user the greatest possible amount of information in an orderly fashion that is not only appealing but interactive. During my usage of this site, that is exactly what the company has done. DeviantART is constantly updated with new images of art being submitted every second and news posted by the administrators. This site contains all the necessities to contribute to the “GFX” community with proficiency and elegance.

In my case, this site only relays positive opinions of it. It’s fast, easy to use, and gives back way more to you then you bargained for. It’s the foundation of what all web pages should strive for. The design is the only thing that could maybe deny its reputation of perfection. Its almost too simple in relation to its functions. The images in regard to interactive design are the links. They are not only conveyed by text, but also by symbols to relate to the function. You get an overall sense of “smoothness” because of its sleek design and complex back end. Its complexity is because of the harsh combination of searches and database management systems to create a massive user built system. This was useful in the past, it’s useful now, and it WILL be useful in the near future.

DeviantART is a timeless site that offers every necessity to the user. You can gain feedback from your favorite artist, submit your own work, and even browse other artist’s work for inspiration. This site is the solution to digital art, instead of printing it out as media, you can keep its original digital state and share it.
